Ying Liu Bazak is a Postdoctoral Researcher under the supervision of Dr. Eric Werker and Dr. Beate Sander in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. She received her Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. She holds her MA and BA degrees in economics from Wuhan University, China. Her research interests include development, health, labour, and applied microeconomics. Her recent work evaluates large-scale healthcare policies using quasi-experimental approaches. Her past research experience also involves the use of lab experiments, GIS, and machine learning.
